Recent communication was made with the Bishop to see if there were any updates that he could pass along to the congregation. According to the Bishop there are six openings in our own synod for pastors. Of those, five are in Arkansas. One of them isn't up to the call process yet, so there are only five congregations at this time that are actively searching for a pastor. GSLC is the only congregation that is looking for a full-time pastor as the others are all looking for part-time pastors at this time. The Bishop mentioned that he has spoken with a couple of possible candidates in the last two weeks. One of them expressed interest in wanting to explore the possibility, but that it wasn't a good time. The other expressed interest, but hasn't gotten back with the Bishop yet. We will just have to wait and see how the process works out and how the Lord will Bless us.
